I moved to San Francisco, sight unseen, after reading the Facebook S-1. My freshman class was one of the first to use Facebook, and I could hardly believe the scale and impact of the business Facebook had seemingly built overnight. After living in London, New York, Singapore and Sydney, I was fascinated to discover what made Silicon Valley the world’s best environment for empowering entrepreneurs.

After almost a decade in San Francisco, I was inspired to bring the Valley mentality to my native UK, and to the rest of Europe. We set up IVP London to accelerate European entrepreneurs’ global ambitions.

I’ve been lucky to work closely with category-defining founders at companies like Discord, Hims & Hers, Sorare and UiPath. These experiences guided my personal approach to working with entrepreneurs: Listen hard, challenge when necessary, and be authentic, no matter what.
