Pro-Tip

Always start with the end in mind

I first joined Databricks when the company had under $20M in revenue, and spent the next eight years watching a scrappy startup become a category leader. I learned what it actually takes to build a sales organization that scales: building the systems, breaking them when they no longer fit, and rebuilding them for the next stage of growth. Before Databricks, I was at Box, where I joined as the 35th employee and contributed to the GTM org for nearly a decade, leaving 3 years after the IPO. Both of these experiences, contributing from early revenue to scaled GTM org, are what brought me to IVP. The team's commitment to founders of consequence and the depth with which they partner with each company matched exactly how I think this work should be done.

At IVP, I work alongside portfolio companies on the things that move the needle in the early and middle innings: GTM strategy, sales process, hiring profiles, distribution, and playbooks. A lot of founders treat sales as an art form, and intuition absolutely matters — but underneath every repeatable, scalable revenue engine is real science. My goal is to advise Founders and GTM leaders on the processes and infrastructure before the company needs it, so they can focus on hiring the best people and accelerating growth.
