A handful of new entrants have emerged to offer less expensive, direct-to-consumer products, but haven’t achieved a quality at par with industry incumbents.
In 2017, Whisper arrived to turn the hearing aid market on its head. The company has launched next-generation, software-defined hearing aids that leverage deep learning and advanced signal processing at an unprecedented granularity to improve hearing quality. Moreover, by building a software-based solution, Whisper is able to continuously ship new features and upgrades to existing users, resulting in a product that keeps getting better over time.
