Institutional Venture Partners Appoints Jules Maltz as Vice President Menlo Park , Calif. – August 14, 2008 – Institutional Venture Partners (IVP), a premier later-stage venture capital firm, is pleased to announce the addition of Jules Maltz as Vice President. Jules will focus on growth capital and later-stage technology investments. “Jules’ experience in later-stage investing in technology and media markets will further strengthen our reach in these areas," said Sandy Miller, General Partner. “Jules is truly one of the bright young professionals with outstanding credentials and we are delighted to welcome him to our team." Prior to IVP, Jules worked for 3i, a leading global venture capital firm. He evaluated early and later-stage Internet, mobile, and software investments, completing deals for companies including BlueLithium, Fotolog, Omniture (OMTR), Trovix, and Vonage (VG). Jules also worked in business development for AdMob, a mobile advertising provider, and co-founded a virtual goods advertising startup. Earlier in his career, Jules was in technology investment banking with Robertson Stephens and Banc of America Securities. Jules has an MBA from Stanford University, where he was a Siebel Scholar and an Arjay Miller Scholar. He also graduated magna cum laude with a B.A. in Economics from Yale University.
